LEGAL CLINIC

The legal profession is one of the most sought after in the community. Qualitative training of lawyers means not only acquisition of theoretical knowledge, but also the development of professional skills. An effective form of combining theory and practical training in the field of jurisprudence is clinical legal education.

OBJECTIVE ACHIEVED BY MEANS OF ACTIVITIES OF THE LEGAL CLINIC:

• giving students complex theoretical knowledge and practical skills and skills in the field of jurisprudence, forming professional competencies in the direction of "Law", promoting profound conviction in the social implication of the legal profession.

TASKS SOLVED BY THE ACTIVITIES OF THE LEGAL CLINIC:

• providing free legal assistance to the population;

• receiving and advising citizens on legal issues;

• cooperating with the media, social movements and organizations;

• improving the practical level of students of the Altai Branch of RANEPA;

• developing communication skills, skills of compliance with the norms of professional ethics, as well as increasing personal responsibility for the task performed;

• creating an additional basis for cooperation with judicial and other law enforcement agencies.

MAIN DIRECTIONS OF CLINICAL LEGAL EDUCATION (CLINICAL PROGRAMS):

• program “Public reception office of the legal clinic”. The legal clinic receives clients according to the approved rules (advising the client and providing other legal assistance), both directly and through electronic communication.

• program "Information and educational activities in the field of jurisprudence". Within the framework of this program, interaction is carried out with the Altai regional department of the Children's Fund in the areas of the foundation’s work (advising on issues related to the protection of children's rights, admission to school, handling documents, etc.). Work with educational institutions on issues within the framework of the program “Information and educational activities in the field of jurisprudence” is also carried out with the aim of forming professional competencies of bachelors of jurisprudence in educational activities (preparing and giving lectures on various legal issues).

When implementing the clinical programs, the following training methods are used: trainings, workshops with mentors, working out a collective decision through brainstorming, working in small groups, analyzing the real problem situation (Case Study), and monitoring current legislation and judicial practice.
