FACULTY OF LAW

The Faculty of Law provides training for bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the field of "Law", being an educational and methodological and scientific structural unit engaged in educational, methodical and research activities.

The Faculty of Law consists of six departments:

  • Department of Civil Law Disciplines,
  • Department of Theory and History of State and Law,
  • Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law,
  • Department of Financial and Administrative Law,
  • Department of Criminal Law and Criminology,
  • Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics.

Highly qualified personnel take part in the implementation of the main educational programs of the Faculty of Law, over 80% of which hold scientific degrees of candidates and doctors of science.

Faculty members are actively engaged in their own scientific research and supervise student scientific activities. The field of scientific interests is legal reforms as a way to improve the legislation of the Russian Federation, investigation of crimes in the field of migration crime, legal issues of combating corruption in government, protection of human and civil rights and freedoms in Russia and others.

The faculty provides training of graduates in close cooperation with legal organizations, including the Altai Regional Court, the Arbitration Court of the Altai Territory, the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Altai Territory, the Office of the Federal Bailiff Service for the Altai Territory and others. Representatives of these organizations conduct lectures and practical classes, master classes, take part in the state final certification of graduates.

Law students undergo continuous practical training at the Legal Clinic, providing pro bono counseling to citizens at four counseling centers in the city of Barnaul.

The students of the faculty are engaged in civic activities, implementing socially significant projects under the guidance of mentors, implementing volunteering activities, etc.

Qualitative training of graduates of the faculty, due to the combination of high theoretical and deep practical training, the formation of an active citizenship during the training period, contributes to the demand for graduates on the labor market. Today, graduates of the faculty successfully work in state and local government, organizations of various organizational and legal forms.
