The Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law

The Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law provides training for a bachelor’s degree in the direction of "Jurisprudence", profile “State and Legal Disciplines”.

The department is focused on training professionals who are active and able to orient themselves in complex legal and economic relations. The teachers of the department are scientists and practitioners who, at a high professional level, pass on their knowledge and practical experience to students and listeners.

The major disciplines of the department are constitutional law, municipal law, international law, electoral law, constitutional justice, etc.

The department actively participates in the implementation of the educational process in other areas of training, as well as in the courses of advanced training and professional retraining in various programs.

The practical orientation of the learning process is provided by interactive teaching methods. During the lessons multimedia technologies and electronic training systems are used, business games are conducted in the form of judicial or law-making processes, round tables, discussions, etc.

All teachers of the department carry out scientific activity. Students who study in the direction of "Jurisprudence" take part in olympiads, scientific and practical conferences and seminars of at the city, regional, interregional, all-Russian, and international levels.

Special attention is paid to the employment of graduates of the department. All graduates hold leading and other positions in the legislative and executive bodies of Altai Krai, in the courts, local self-government bodies, internal affairs and security bodies as well as legal services of organizations of various organizational and legal forms.
